I'm the culture editor of the award-winning alt-weekly Nashville Scene, where I write about art, film, culture, books and community issues. I also produced WeHome, a podcast about my neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee. My Nashville Public Radio story was awarded first place for Best Writing by the Associated Press of Tennessee in 2016. My fiction has been published in H.O.W. Journal, Epiphany, and This Recording. I'm at work on my first novel, Gretchen. I hold an M.F.A. from the New School ('07) and a B.A. from Loyola University, New Orleans ('04).
